Abstract :
Flake shaped carbonyl iron-zinc oxide nanocomposites (FCI-ZnO) were prepared via two-steps high-energy ball-milling process method in hexane solution under mild conditions. The electromagnetic characteristics include electromagnetic parameters, static magnetism properties and microwave absorption properties have been also investigated in detail. The results showed that the size, morphology and electromagnetic characteristics of composites can be controlled by adjusting the addition of ZnO during the preparation. And more importantly, this method can be used to improve the impedance matching level of microwave absorption properties, the reflection loss of the as-prepared composite is below -20 dB (99% absorption) at 12~14 GHz with a coating layer thickness of 2.0 mm. These results provide a wide insight for the flake shaped structure FCI-ZnO as desirable materials for the fabrication of micro/nanoscale functional in the application of electromagnetic wave.
