Abstract :
Gaussian elimination becomes time-consuming if there are millions of equations in electronic computers. So a different method is summarized to carry out Gaussian elimination on ternary optical computer. Ternary optical computer is characterized by tri-values, many data bits, no-carry adder and reconfigurable processor and brings new efficient ideas to solve the algorithm. Parallel MSD addition, subtraction, multiplication and division are presented on the basis of these characteristics. The results of simulative experiment are consistent with theoretical values, which proves correctness of the theory.
