Abstract :
We consider the quality of service (QoS) in wireless cellular networks supporting mixed wideband and narrowband traffic. An event-based adaptive admission control scheme is proposed to guarantee the QoS for each type of traffic. The role of the QoS regulation parameter in the call admission process is analyzed and presented. The analytic results are validated by simulation. We also show that the analytic model is extensible to more than two types of traffic.
