Abstract
Some of the possibilities for sound field active equalization in a room at low frequencies are presented in this paper. The examples given refer to sound field analysis, based on modal analysis, heading towards sound level regulation in definite areas of a room, using a secondary source as an instrument of active equalization. The basic intention of the paper is to show the possibilities and practical application of secondary sources for changing the sound field to a certain desired configuration. Particular attention was given to detailed modal analysis advantages managed through modern computer systems and up-to-date software tools developed for a specific purpose.
