  • Abstract
Averaging on various levels has been implemented in the interrupted noise method as well as in the MLS (maximum length sequence) technique. Thus, averaging of the obtained responses, squared pressure decays and logarithmic decays in the interrupted noise method and decay range improvement in the MLS technique are analysed in this paper. The results show that averaging of logarithmic decays is preferred. Averaging in the MLS technique leads to an improvement of the decay ranges in the whole frequency range.
