Abstract :
Electric fields have a number of applications in technology. One of them is electrodynamic separation: the electric field influences selectively granular solids of different electric moments or charges. A mathematical model of the separation process in a high voltage drum separator is presented in the paper. Particles are charged both with induction and corona phenomena: next, they are separated with field forces. The computational results are presented and analysed.
