Abstract :
A standard frequency dissemination system via the television synchronizing pulses referenced to the UTC(TP) time scale is currently in operation in the Czech Republic. The system makes use of the nationwide land network of Nova Television and the satellite-based network of Czech Television. Measurements of the time instability of the synchronizing pulses conducted in Prague and on Praded Mountain (1491 m) are presented. The accuracy of syntonization via the land link was sufficient to measure the relativistic shift in frequency within a single week. Also discussed is the influence of satellite digital receivers and the reliability.
