Abstract :
This paper presents a proposal of voltage clamped resonant DC link snubber circuit topology and a next generation active power filter based on a voltage source three-phase soft-switching space voltage vector modulated inverter incorporating a single auxiliary resonant DC link snubber is treated here. In addition, described is the voltage vector correction processing relating to quasi resonant soft commutation time corresponding to dead time in order to produce an instantaneous harmonic compensation current waveform obtained from this soft switching active power filter. The effectiveness of this new conceptual soft commutation active power filter is proved as compared with hard switching active power filter.
