  • Abstract
    An overview and comparisons of spread spectrum techniques that are applied in the IEEE 802.11 wireless LAN standard are given. Frequency hopping spread spectrum (FHSS) and direct sequence spread spectrum (DSSS) modulation used in the IEEE 802.11 standard are considered, evaluated and compared.
