Abstract :
In this paper, we design and implement a generic transaction capabilities (TC)/common object request broker architecture (CORBA) gateway necessary to provide inter-operability between CORBA-based control systems and legacy control systems using TC-based control protocols, such as an intelligent network application part protocol (INAP) and a mobile application part protocol (MAP). In addition, we introduce an object pool mechanism (OPM) to maintain control application objects in the CORBA domain and evaluate the performance of OPM. As a result, the object access time in a TC/CORBA gateway is reduced.
