  • Abstract
    In a real radio system design, an accurate estimation of the electric field level provides a good basis for a proper selection of base station locations and a proper determination of the frequency plan. However, an accurate prediction of the electric field level is a very complex and difficult task. To date, various field strength prediction methods have been proposed in the literature. One very popular prediction method for terrestrial land mobile services in the VHF and UHF bands is considered through ITU-R recommendations.
