Abstract
Progress of perfluorinated graded index-plastic optical fiber (PFGI-POF) is described. Not only the challenge to low attenuation and low connection loss due to reduced fiber diameter fluctuation but also applications of PFGI-POF in the area of office LAN and home networks are introduced.
