Abstract :
Rest-exercise radionuclide ventriculography was performed in 67 patients after acute myocardial infarction; 48 of them were treated with intravenous streptokinase. Global and regional ejection fractions were assessed by means of time activity curve changes after background subtraction with cubic spline function interpolation. Thrombolytic therapy partially rescued the jeopardized myocardium. Nonreperfused patients demonstrated hyperkinesis at rest and during exercise in noninfarct segments.
