Abstract :
Author of the paper has created an original software tool called CIA (Circuit Interactive Analyzer). That program has built-in an accurate poles-zeros analysis that is not present in the PSpice family. In paper, a reduction algorithm for transforming the general eigenvalue problem to the standard one is presented for both classical full-matrix methods (appropriate for accurate analyses) and a sparse-matrix technique (appropriate for large-scale circuits). An optimal pivoting for the two methods is proposed to increase the precision of the computations. A long double precision sparse algorithm is compared with the double precision sparse and full-matrix ones. Finally, three examples are solved as a verifying of the accuracy.
