Abstract :
In many practical situations, a pair of conductors (e.g., wires or printed strips) carrying current pulses are positioned close to each other. The electromagnetic coupling between them may result in substantial current pulses induced in one conductor by a current pulse in the other. This, in turn, may result in various undesired effects, such as false signals in the wires. The authors analyse the coupling between two crossed, close (but non-touching) perpendicular conductors with current pulses by means of solving numerically the system as an electromagnetic boundary-value problem.
