Abstract
The refractive index profile design of multi-channel FBGs (fiber Bragg gratings) was investigated The phase optimization of each single-channel FBG can suppress side lobes in the reflection spectrum drastically. Furthermore this suppression of side lobes is experimentally confirmed.
