Abstract :
The saturation magnetostriction λs, forced volume magnetostriction\partial\omega/\partialHand specific Young´s modulus have been studied at room temperature for amorphous Co-Si-B alloys. The values of saturation magnetostriotion is negative for investigated compositions The saturation magnetostriction λshas increasing tendency with higher Co content. The decrease of forced volume magnetostriction\partial\omega/\partialHhas been observed. Proportions of metalloids change λsand\partial\omega/\partialHvery slightly. Specific Young´s modulusE/\varrhoas a function of Co content shows minimum value near the 76 at % Co composition.
