Abstract :
Working in the field of the magnetohydrostatic separation, we were especially preoccupied with the optimum design of both the profile of the air gap where the separation channel is situated, and the magnetic field source. Avoiding the edge effects in the separation channel and the end effect at the input and the output of this channel has proved to be quite necessary. In the followings, we present some of our results obtained in the MHS separation of different mixtures.
