Abstract :
Spectral dependences of the optical absorption and the Faraday rotation of YIG:Co,Ge; YIG:Co,Ti and YIG:Co,Ca LPE garnet films were measured in the visible and near infrared region. From the difference in Faraday-rotation curves the individual contributions of cobalt ions to FR of pure YIG are deduced.
