Abstract
We first generalize to (A, B, C, D ) quadruples the geometric characterization of the infinite zero structure. We then give a new geometric proof for a solvability condition of the exact model matching problem expressed in terms of this concept and previously established, in the polynomial context, by Morse, Verghese, and Pernebo. This emphasizes the approach-independent character of the infinite zero structure.
