Abstract
MC-CDMA has attracted significant attention as one of the downlink communication methods for fourth generation mobile communication systems. However, MC-CDMA has a peak power problem as well as the other nonspread multi-carrier systems. Therefore, in this paper, we propose novel peak power reduction technique for MC-CDMA using code selection at the transmitter. In the proposed system, the transmitter selects the code from plural pre-assigned codes of each user in each symbol to minimize the output peak power of downlink signals. The proposed technique also can achieve blind code detection in the receiver using correlation of pre-assigned codes without a side information channel for informing the transmitting code to the receiver in each symbol.
