Abstract :
UMTS Terrestrial Radio Access (UTRA) in time division duplex (TDD) mode is a combination of time division multiple access (TDMA) and code division multiple access (CDMA). Radio resources are disposed in the time as well as in the code domain and allow a variable allocation to either uplink or downlink transmission. With this characteristic, UTRA-TDD allows to flexibly adapt the physical channel and radio frame structure to various kinds of services in different environments and traffic conditions. Depending on the choice of radio resource management (RRM) algorithms, this paper focuses on simulative capacity estimation in a typical micro-cellular dense urban environment with a service mix of speech and Internet data traffic
