Abstract :
We describe a simple technique for the numerical calculation, within any desired degree of accuracy, of the pairwise error probability (PEP) of space-time codes. This method is very general, and applies to the calculation of the probability P(ν > x), where ν and x are independent random variables whose moment-generating functions (MGF) are known. In particular, it applies to the calculation of the expectation E[Q(√ξ)], where Q(·) is the Gaussian tail function and ξ is a random variable whose moment-generating function is known.
