The Preisach diagram, Wohlfarth´s remanence formula and magnetic interactions

Generalised Preisach diagram (moving model) was applied to study magnetic interactions in weak magnetic samples (natural pyrrhotite-bearing rocks). The approach was applied to experimental data and verified using differential remanence derived from a Wohlfarth´s remanence formula. It is shown that introducing the mean interaction field improves the Preisach diagram and negative, positive and even oscillating type of interactions, as observed using the Wohlfarth´s remanence formula, can be elucidated and interpreted.
