Abstract :
Magnetic properties in as-quenched state and after annealing at temperature range from 300 to 500/spl deg/C in air for 1 h and 2 h in transverse magnetic field are presented for the Fe/sub 73.5/Si/sub 16.5/B/sub 6/Cu/sub 1/Nb/sub 3/ metallic glass. Each annealing has improved magnetic properties but piezomagnetic parameters were worsening when the nanocrystallization has started. The highest changes were observed for after annealing over the Curie point (about 320/spl deg/C) when internal stresses were partially removed.
