Abstract :
A modular system to determine correlations among many detectors in radiation measurement is described. The system is based on the CAMAC standard and the IBM PC computer. The software has been written in C language. The system performs the following tasks: data acquisition, disk data storage (in list mode), event sorting using different criteria, and construction of (1-3) dimensional spectra and their display. These tasks can be carried out in on-line or off-line mode. The capabilities of the system are illustrated in a measurement of the correlation between the positron annihilation life-time and the momentum of electron-positron pairs using four detectors.
