  • Abstract
    Transient simulation of power electronic circuits is of considerable interest to the designer. The switching nature of the devices used permits development of specialized algorithms which allow a considerable reduction in simulation time compared to general purpose simulation algorithms. This paper presents some sparsity oriented methods to speed up the simulation of transient behavior of such systems. Test results obtained for typical circuits confirm the efficiency and accuracy of the proposed methods.
