Abstract :
The Traveling Wave Tube (TWT) has great potential to provide high power for wireless communication. However, its poor linearity has limited its application. This paper describes a new method to linearize TWTs based on compensation for phase and amplitude envelopes variation. The technique requires low-cost circuitry. The test results show a dramatic improvement.
