Abstract
Experimental results for the ´folded´ quadrifilar antenna are presented. The quantities evaluated are the axial ratio and directive gain for different mounting positions over a 122 cm diameter ground plane. Measurements were made for antenna placement at the center, 31 cm from the center, 51 cm from the center, and at the edge of the circular ground plane. The results show that the ´folded´ quadrifilar antenna has the best performance when placed near the edge at the 51 cm position.
