Abstract :
Summary form only given. Data entry for computational electromagnetics is a time-consuming part of modeling systems under test. Currently, it can be quite tedious to map a geometry into NEC (a method of moments code) or a finite-element code and then map the same geometry by hand into a finite-difference time domain (FDTD) or transmission line matrix code. The paper looks at what the EM community could do to facilitate geometry and material model entry for multiple simulation engines (FDTD, FEA, MoM, etc).
