Abstract
An omnidirectional antenna made up of a hexagonal arrangement with six three-series-element aperture-coupled microstrip patch arrays is presented in this work. The design has been carried out for the 17 GHz frequency band and is intended to be used in an wireless indoor environment with a high bit rate (100 Mbit/s) modem architecture without base stations. A 10 dB return loss bandwidth of around 1 GHz and a gain of about 6 dB have been measured.
