Abstract :
The paper addresses the following topics: Ku-band satellite beacons and communication signals (TV programmes) power measurements, and carrier-to-noise ratio (CNR) registration for qualification, according to the ITU-R recommendation, of the common TV-satellite services in Poland. In this way, both experimental communication services and the propagation measurements are expected to be highly successful in paving the way for planning and development of Ku-band satellite services in Poland.
