Abstract :
This paper describes the simulation of a combined wind-solar- hydro system for electric power generation, with energy storage facilities. A simple multivariable weather model, including the wind speed, the solar radiation and the rainfall, was developed. This model is * used with the Monte Carlo simulation method to evaluate the reliability of the mixed generating system. Different percentages of wind and solar generation capacities were tried as well as the tilt of the solar arrays.
