High-power, long pulse operation L-band amplitron
Abstract :
The new LA 116C amplitron for radar applications was designed, constructed and tested. The amplitron can operate at 400 kW peak power (over a 100 MHz bandwidth in L-band, when operate at a peak drive power of 35 kW), 7 kW average and 50 μs long pulse lengths.
