Abstract :
Summary form only given. This study is concerned with the design of the geometric shape of heart valve leaflets based on the stress distribution on them. The model takes into account the velocity and pressure profile of blood on the valve prosthesis. The study is based on hemodynamics and the solid analysis of heart valve prosthesis leaflets. The first outcome will be a better understanding of the blood hemodynamics through the heart, and the design could be evaluated to form a more suitable heart valve prosthesis.
