Abstract :
A new PD type time delay filter, which utilizes the time-delay filter effect, is introduced into the feedback control. It is shown that conventional P-controller equipped with an appropriate time-delay performs an average derivative action and thus can be insensitive to high-frequency noise. It also responds quickly to input changes. The simulation results demonstrate the effectiveness of this PD type of time delay filter.
