Abstract :
The snapshot assessment allowed interpretation of the local relationship between cardiovascular and muscular activities with respect to the global behavior. We studied the relationship at each contraction during skiing and cycling exercise using the time-frequency representations. The results demonstrated that the time-varying features of short-term frequency components were probably related to the autonomic nervous activity and the motor unit firing as physical fatigue progressed.
