Abstract :
Real-time EEG processing is desirable as a communication tool for disabled individuals. However, motion-related potential as the cerebral phenomenon corresponding to the subject´s intention for autokinesia is embedded in the background potential; therefore, the real-time extraction of significant signal is quite difficult. In this paper, our aim is a real-time readiness-potential extraction from EEG with a relatively small number of scalp electrodes and the extraction of the difference among readiness-potentials based on different autokinesias by means of the combination of independent component analysis (ICA) and scalp Laplacian.
