Abstract
Presents an evaluation approach of time delays for networked control systems, which characterizes the time delays online without any synchronized clock in the network and any assumptions of time delays. With this approach, an improved scheme based on optimal LQG control is designed to achieve desired performance despite the uncertain delays in the system. The experimental results illustrate the effectiveness of the proposed control design and satisfactory performance of the closed-loop system.
