Abstract :
This paper investigates on-line measurement of the melting point of aluminum electrolyte by use of a common K type thermocouple, which is based on the heat transfer during the phase transformation. The hardware and software of the intelligent meter for the measurement are also introduced. This meter consists of data collection, data conversion, data processing, data display and data communication. The single-chip 80C31 is the central processing unit and A/D574 performs the A/D conversion. The liquid crystal display and the key were connected by the chip 81C55.
