Abstract :
This paper presents a conceptual model as well as a system architecture of B2B integration technology that supports application-to-application (A2A) as well as business-to-business (B2B) integration concurrently in one uniform conceptual integration model. The conceptual integration model is managed by a design time repository. Designed integration models (for example, the exchange of purchase orders with trading partners) are stored in the design time repository as meta data. The runtime execution paradigm of the B2B integration technology that executes actual business events going back and forth between applications and/or trading partners follows the interpretation approach. The run time engine instantiates actual integration instances as data instance in the runtime repository according to the integration models stored in the design time repository
