Abstract :
Using a guaranteed cost control approach, the problem of Takagi-Sugeno (T-S) fuzzy controller design via Linear Matrix Inequalities (LMIS) is presented in this paper. The feedback control law is obtained through solving LMIS. This method not only has guaranteed stability, but also minimizes an upper bound on a linear quadratic performance measure. The example for a fuzzy controller of the inverted pendulum demonstrates the effectiveness of this approach.
