Abstract :
This paper gives some basic algorithms to obtain fractional dimension of fractal through changing the observation scale. Some fractional dimensions of metallographies are calculated. The main aim is to recognize and classify the metallographies via fractional dimension and provide the conditions to control the quality of steel.
