Fuzzy modeling based on rough sets and fuzzy sets

Combining rough sets and fuzzy sets together, some new conceptions such as fuzzy decision table, fuzzy discrete and union, rough-fuzzy threshold are put forward. Based on the combination of fuzzyfication of the data and knowledge reduction of rough set theory, a simple rough-fuzzy modeling method was proposed. The suggested method can obtain fuzzy model directly from observed data by omitting the processes of fuzzy clustering, noise filter, and fuzzy inference composition. The successfully fuzzy modeling for typical cement gyro kiln problem has shown its simplicity and efficiency.
