  • Abstract
    The authors demonstrate an inherently bias drift free broadband amplitude modulator design based on an integrated optic travelling wave phase modulator in a fibre Sagnac interferometer. Operation is demonstrated over 0.5-20 GHz, and the bias is shown to be stable to better than 1/spl deg/ over a temperature range of 28/spl deg/C.
