Abstract :
Theater/Nation Missile Defense (TMD/NMD) is the most important defense architecture under development. This study assesses the risks associated with TMD/NMD, reveals the weaknesses in the ground-based missile defense architecture, and considers the danger and the inevitability of space militarization. Some improved architectures are proposed that can more effectively defend against missiles, offer real time non-nuclear counterattack and defense, and greatly reduce total war losses.
