Proposal of a new anisotropy quality evaluation of nonoriented magnetic steel sheets

The standard method for defining the quality of magnetic steel sheets, especially the anisotropy, is unsatisfactory and can mislead users. Investigations of the directional dependence of magnetic properties in some samples show that inferior values can also appear between control points. The authors deal with a new quality evaluation of anisotropic properties of nonoriented steel sheets with consideration of planes which also have a physical background.
