Abstract
This paper discusses the application of organizational behavior theories in practice and how they form the basis for a process for managing people and teams in a distributed environment. The paper starts to explore the need for organizational learning and dialogue and continues to explore personal contexts in order to enable effective communication in multinational business environments. The examples discussed are from companies within the Royal Dutch Shell Group.
