Abstract :
Surveys of various projects highlight that poor requirements and lack of user involvement are the most common causes of project failures. Purchasers are more involved in computer based systems (CBS) design and implementation. A problem that still requires additional investigations is how can the purchaser overcome misunderstandings with the contractor and what is his role in CBS design and implementation. Those and some other problems of purchaser´s involvement in the process of design and implementation of CBS are examined in this paper.
