Abstract :
This paper proposes an Organisation Resource Profile, and provides an analysis of the reasons for the Profile being an excellent source of information that can be modelled to effect several analyses. The paper outlines the advantage of resource based analysis, and presents details of ROSTA (Resource Oriented Simulation Task Analysis), which is a package developed to facilitate the analysis of resource deployment and utilisation, for single or multiple projects. The paper also studies the application of resource based analysis for the implementation of a practical Real Options Model. The paper includes outlines of other analysis techniques that have been developed from the perspective of an Organisational Resource profile, covers such tools as uncertainty tree analysis, and utilises hierarchical resource allocation techniques to examine an organisation´s resource structuring. Finally, the paper investigates a process of mapping and future market penetration, using resource compatibility as an indicator of future market feasibility.
